The work

Important problems deserve production-grade systems.

Healthcare is full of consequential work hidden behind ordinary-looking queues. We are rebuilding those workflows so people can spend more time caring for patients.

The standard

Reliable enough for real care.

A clever demo is not the goal. Every system must earn trust in the messy environment where care is actually delivered.

  • Human judgment stays in the loop
  • Every outcome must be explainable
  • Production ownership starts on day one

Prior authorization is the process an insurer uses to decide whether it will cover a treatment. It is the invisible step between a doctor ordering an MRI, wheelchair, or course of chemotherapy and a patient receiving it.

Today that step runs on faxes, PDFs, and queues. Patients wait days or weeks. Clinicians spend their time on paperwork. Almost everyone who touches the process hates it.

Most technology companies have ignored it. We think that makes it a great problem.

The most durable companies often start by rebuilding unglamorous rails such as payroll, freight, or payments. Prior authorization is enormous, universally disliked, technically neglected, and finally solvable. ClarityCare AI agents read clinical records and process requests end to end, with a clinician making the final decision. The result is fast, accurate, consistent, and auditable.

Prior authorization is our wedge. The same machinery powers intake, eligibility, and other back-office workflows, and we are already expanding. The endgame is an administrative layer run by agents so humans can spend their time caring for people.

Where we are

  • Our agents are live in production.
  • We are changing millions of lives and are on track to reach tens of millions.
  • We are past seven figures in annual recurring revenue and aiming to pass eight figures by year end.
  • We are expanding beyond prior authorization.
  • We are a global, San Francisco-based team of AI researchers, engineers, operators, and clinicians.

The technical problem

A system that is right 95 percent of the time is not good enough when real patients and regulatory scrutiny are involved. We work on long-horizon workflows across legacy infrastructure, rigorous evaluations, reliability, human-in-the-loop decisions, and trust.

A restaurant-booking agent can fail and try again. Healthcare agents must be dependable and auditable. That is the standard we build toward.

How we work

We hire founders, first engineers, and people who ship. You own problems rather than tickets. You may move from a whiteboard to production, join a call with a clinical director, and ship something useful in your first weeks.

There is no process layer between you and the work. We grant meaningful equity because we expect everyone to think and act like an owner.

Who should not apply

This probably is not the place for you if you want scope handed to you, expect a complete specification before starting, or prefer to avoid customers and operational details.

You will probably thrive here if

  • You kill weak ideas quickly and reason from first principles.
  • You want to understand the whole system and are willing to push back.
  • You care about details and communicate clearly.
  • You are motivated by helping patients get care sooner.
